In case you were thinking of rubbing it in that it's been in the 80's in Cali......

We were expecting a lot of snow, so they closed school.

We see a lot of wildlife down the hill in our woods, but this heron (or whatever type of waterfowl) was sitting there so still by the creek, it's the first time we've some any of his kind around here.

Later on that evening we got freezing rain. When I first moved here I thought Ohioans were big wussies for refusing to drive when there was 1/2 an inch of snow, but this freezing rain stuff is bad news.

But it sure is pretty! It rained, and then froze to every surface, and when the sun comes out, it's amazing!

It looks like every single tree is a chandelier! It almost makes the cold worth it.

Except that we still have to go outside sometimes.

And kids stayed home from school for 5 days.

Which means we have to go extra days this summer.

But everyone improved greatly on their Wii skills.

You are so hilarious!!! Cooper was sick a few days and he also started getting a little too good on the Wii. We had to have him quit playing so that he could remember that he wanted to go to school instead of staying home sick and playing the Wii. What are your boys favorite Wii games? Have you got the Music game? I sure wish they would play that one more often - I like to listen to that one! Love you!!!!

Great photos Lyd... I do love snow, ice, inclement weather photos. I don't know that I would trade that off for the nice weather tho. The kids are out playing basketball and riding skateboards right this very moment. (and no, I'm not rubbing it in:)

Today is the first day of sunshine after several days of clouds & rain (which I love so I can't complain). It sure has hindered me getting a natural tan, though! How's your arse?? I suffered a small tanning bed burn myself on the same day. But it's tan now so it's all good in da' hood.

I love your photos. Megan is in Bella Vista AR and they also got the ice storms. So unlike their usual weather there. I guess I should be thankful and just cope with our snow here in Steamboat Springs. I jumped over to your blog from Carolines. I can't seem to access you from ours but love it when you visit us and leave comments.
