Another funny blog to read

Thanks, Sharese, for telling me about this one, she is SO funny! You either have to have lived in Utah or know someone like this to get it, but all of you Californians will laugh! Oh, and Sharese, thanks for listening to me cry the other night about my cute kid, you're a great friend. And I hope that comment about the fan mail wasn't weird, sometimes I say dumb things thinking they'll be funny and they're usually not.

Eating Oreos

J and his Grandpa Ellis had an Oreo eating contest one night. The objective was to get the cookie, split open and frosting side down, from the center of the forehead to the mouth without using the hands. Face muscles and gravity only. Five year-old J almost won...

Our Absorbent Menagerie

One of the fun little things about a cruise are the towel animals left by the room steward when turning down the bed each night. We took a picture of each one, to show the kids. There was even a class offered, in case we wanted to pass on that talent to others, but we skipped that one!

Some sort of ape - I'm voting for orangutan.

Swan - or is it a goose?

A rabbit - I think.

My favorite - the pachyderm.

Sting ray

Dog

Walrus family

Our last night on the cruise - a token of our steward's affection!

Acapulco Cliff Divers

These guys were amazing! They had to climb up the cliffs first, and then dive off when the waves were rolling in just right.

Hasta la vista, baby!

Our cruise was so much fun, and so anticipated. Eric promised to take me somewhere warm every winter when he moved me away from California, and February is the perfect time to leave Ohio!

We sailed out of San Diego, where we met our good friends Tiffiny and Brandon. San Diego was a cool 65 degrees and raining, but it felt like heaven to me!

Tiffiny and Brandon, looking tan already!

Eric and Lydia, not looking so tan even though I had been trying my best!

One thing I hadn't figured on was the fact that the first day at sea was a little cool, until we got to warmer weather down south. But, Eric found a sunny spot on our little balcony, and he managed to read two books during the week!

We had two sea days in a row, which I LOVED! Sea days means total relaxation! Just sitting by the pool, ordering diet Cokes (which never seem to come!) and all the soft-serve ice cream and french fries you could ever want!

I promise I'll blog about our cruise tomorrow...

Really, I will. At least a little bit. Tiff is making me feel really slow.
