That's about all I remember from French 101 in college. And I never moved on to French 102 or 202 or whatever. Which is a pity, because right now, it might be helpful to parlez vous francais.
Luckily, English is taught in school all over the world now, so most Parisians speak a little. Because I don't even know what to order for lunch. I guess I could walk into le petit boulangerie and ask for un baguette, but I might get a little tired of eating nothing but bread for 5 days. I guess there's always ratatouille and escargot, duck l'orange, and don't forget croissants. I don't think I COULD get tired of croissants.
It will be an adventure at the very least! Eric has meetings on Thursday and part of the day on Friday, so I will be on my own. I'm kind of scared! I haven't been alone in over 13 years! Least of all in a foreign country! And I have to ride home on the plane by myself!
Growing up, I never imagined I would ever get the chance to travel much, so I never made my "When I Go to Paris, I Have to ...." list. I've been cramming for the last week and will read some more guide books on the flight.
Those of you who've been be sure to send me your recommendations!
Au revoir!

I took French in 7th grade in Utah. Don't remember too much except how to count, a few songs ("Aloette jonte aloette"...., and my French name THERES-JOIX.
Have so much fun!!! Don't forget all those French items we texted about the other day. At least one of them is sure to keep you company on the flight back home!! ;)
Okay... obviously the previous comment is from 'mois'. Mercedes was logged on instead. Oops.
I'm so jealous! I love Paris. I could eat baguettes and cheese every day! I went when I was 17 and got to drive around the Arch de Triumph. Two of my brothers served missions in France, so it was nice having a translator. Have a wonderful time in that romantic city!
I am seriously so excited for you! You are so lucky! No worries, I even took 2 years of french in college and all I can say is "Ou et le chat?" Which I learned in kindergarten anyway so a lot of good that did! Have so much fun and take lots of pictures!
Mom says to not only go to the Louvre but also the Orsay which is right down the street. She also says to take the bus tour of Paris, arch de triumphe, eifel tower and just about everything else you would want to see.
One day for Versailles and one day for the Orsay and Louvre.
Hope you get to see all you want to see!
Fun, fun, fun!!!
Wee Wee- I learned a little French from my toddlers. Trent likes when I say that too!
